The ability to learn is possessed by humans, animals and some machines. Progress over time tends to follow learning curves. Human learning may occur as part of education, personal development, or training. It may be goal-oriented and may be aided by motivation. The study of how learning occurs is part of neuropsychology, educational psychology, learning theory, and pedagogy. Learning may occur as a result of habituation or classical conditioning, seen in many animal species, or as a result of more complex activities such as play, seen only in relatively intelligent animals. Learning may occur consciously or without conscious awareness. There is evidence for human behavioral learning prenatally, in which habituation has been observed as early as 32 weeks into gestation, indicating that the central nervous system is sufficiently developed and primed for learning and memory to occur very early on in development. Play has been approached by several theorists as the first form of learning. Children play, experiment with the world, learn the rules, and learn to interact. Vygotsky agrees that play is pivotal for children's development, since they make meaning of their environment through play. From Wikipedia under the

What do you think is the best way to learn as much french as i can in one year? I am already going to start taking french in school next semester but i need more! Maybe a french learning softwear? or a french learning system? or maybe just hang out with a bunch of french people! i doint know!!! help me! Asked by Naimah habibi - Wed Apr 7 22:52:35 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. I think it depends on what you want to learn. I am French and I think if you want to learn grammar or things like that then you should learn it in school. Otherwise you can do what I do for learning English I am watching English movies with subtitles and I go to random internet sites and I talk with English speaking people. If you wish, you can send me a mail here, I would be happy to talk with you. I could teach you French and you could teach me English :-) Answered by Gabriel - Sun Apr 11 12:41:28 2010 What is the best guitar learning software available? Q. I would love to learn to play guitar, but for now the prices I have seen for a tutor are very unrealistic... What guitar learning software out there is the best available? Also, how did you learn, and how long did it take you? Asked by Cherry Blossom - Sun Nov 16 19:57:27 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. I have honestly tried several methods out there. I started out trying to do it on my own with a book then searched the internet for all the free lessons (there are a ton), then tried a DVD lesson becuase I wanted to play like Jimmy Page. And guess what? I learned a lot but didn't really learn how to play. Everything was all over the place and not structured at all. I also looked at trying a local instructor but I coudln't afford the prices. But then I found a online learning method that made learning very easy and even better I could afford it. For the price of one hour of in person instruction I had a years worth of instruction and this was even better since I could go over it as many times as needed. Answered by Christian S - Thu Nov 20 09:40:51 2008 What are the benefits of learning japanese?
Q. So, I'm learning the basics of the language right now and I've been wondering what the benefits would be. I'm planning on breaking into the game industry in a few years. I'm also looking for a good or better program on learning japanese. Asked by Adam - Sat Jun 27 20:16:00 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. It looks good on a resume. Also if you plan on working with Japanese gaming companies, that Japanese knowledge is going to help. I have a friend who is studying Japanese with me who is into music composing (for games etc) and he is learning it to go to Japan and I'm sure he wants to some day work for the the gaming industry's top Japanese companies. If you want to do that too, learning the language is surely going to help you some day. It's also good if you have a natural liking of the language, or enjoy watching anime and reading manga. Translating can also be a fun pass time. In summary, you should go for it. Seek a classroom learning environment (tafe course etc). It's way better than any program can teach and a lot more fun.
